After continued support of one cycling enthusiast SUBWAY® franchisee, the SUBWAY® Pro Cycling Team came on board as a national sponsorship of SUBWAY® New Zealand officially in January 2006. The team has grown from strength to strength.

Multisport Couple - Richard and Elina Ussher

Four time winner of the Speight's Coast to Coast, fastest ever New Zealand Iron distance triathlon time and current New Zealand Xterra Champion Richard keeps on proving why he is regarded among the worlds most elite Endurance athletes. His success crosses more than just the Multisport and triathlon disciplines; his Adventure racing team is also regarded as one of best in the world with four successive victories in the prestigious Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge.

His wife Elina, an integral part of the Adventure racing team, is also a world renowned athlete with victories in the Speight's Coast to Coast and countless other individual Multisport races both in New Zealand and around the world. This year Elina also stamped her mark on the NZ Mountain Bike scene with a demolition of the Pro women's field at the prestigious Karapoti Classic.
